Expanded Steel

Expanded steel park components are extremely popular because of their strength and colorful coatings. We use what the steel industry calls 3/4-#9 material with a short longitudinal stretch. What does that mean? A shorter stretch between the "diamond" openings leaves more material (steel) per foot. The more diamonds there are per lineal foot is your indication that there is more steel left in the structure. If you want to read more about expanded steel check out our Materials Options page.
