The FA-30/18/PA Series Campfire Rings combine our original Infinitely Adjustable cooking grate with our flanged fire ring – a practical design combination for campfire control and convenient outdoor cooking.

Fire ring is rolled from a 3/16" thick steel plate with an integral formed 1" wide flange around top edge.  This flange provides extra strength against heat warpage and eliminates a vertical edge.  Draft holes are provided for fire ventilation.

The 270 sq. inch cooking grate is Infinitely Adjustable vertically from below the top of the fire ring to 7-3/4" higher.  This cantilevered grate is structurally reinforced to resist hard use and vandalism.  The cooking grate can be lifted over and out of the campfire ring, but remains permanently attached.

The FA-30/18/PA features a 30” inside diameter and a side height of 16-3/8”, providing for a more comfortable working height.  The elevated design allows placement flexibility because the aggregate fill (not included) protects existing surfaces such as pavers, asphalt and concrete.  This fill also insulates the ground to reduce the chance of root fires in heavily wooded areas.

FA-30/18/PA Series fire rings include pin anchors (/PA) to keep the campfire ring secured in one place.  These pins must be set in concrete and do not allow the ring to tip back.

Cooking grate adjustment handles, made from 3/4" dia. steel, are turned outside of the fire ring, away from the fire.  The handle grips are 1/8" x 1/2" coiled steel bar.  The cooking grate is built using 5/8" dia. steel perimeter bars and 1/2" dia. steel grate bars. All grate bars are welded on both sides.

OPTIONAL: S-5 bolt-on utility shelf

OPTIONAL: Heat Shield (add /H to end of model number). An optional welded-on Heat Shield is available on some Pilot Rock campfire rings.  This welded-on shield can be added to new Pilot Rock campfire rings to give protection from hot surfaces around the outside of the ring.  The 10 ga. x 8" high Shield provides a 7/8" air gap around the area of these tall fire rings exposed to heat (the lower portion of these fire rings is filled with aggregate).  NOTE: Not available on campfire rings less than 11 inches tall.

OPTIONAL: The FLC/B-30 Firering Lockout Cover can be used to restrict the use of campground firerings (30" ID) when a burn ban is in place, or for any reason you want to prevent campfires in an area.  The cover can be easily removed whenever it is safe for campers to burn again.  (Heavy 12 ga. steel plate fabrication with (2) welded on hooks and (1) padlocked-on hook, and flange reinforced.  Finished with high temp non-toxic black enamel paint.)
